The easiest way to transform your whole home? Wash away all the dirt and grime hiding its shine.

One of the simplest, most budget-friendly ways to give your home a whole new look is house washing. If you’re still on the fence about this service, we’ve compiled a list of house washing frequently asked questions to demystify it so you can make the best decision for your home!
To clear up some initial confusion, house washing is also referred to as soft washing and is used interchangeably with pressure washing. So, we’re talking about the same thing when we use any of these terms.
Still have more questions? Never fear! We’re about to clear it all up by answering your house washing frequently asked questions.
How Often Should I Get a House Wash?

We recommend doing so once a year. A great time to get a house wash is late spring, after winter’s fury is over and most of the tree pollen is done falling.
How Much Does House Washing Cost?

If you use Services By Bright, house washing could be as low as $200 for a smaller home. The average range is $200 - $500. However, this varies depending on the size of your home and how dirty it is.

Will House Washing Spray Off Paint?

No, because we technically use soft washing for houses, rather than harsher pressure washing (even though these terms get used interchangeably), the paint on your home will remain intact.
While pressure washing uses the pressure of lots of water to clean surfaces, soft washing actually uses chemicals to clean. It simply removes dirt, algae, and other debris.
Will House Washing Hurt My Plants?

To avoid damaging plants, we take precautions like making sure plants are wet ahead of time so they don’t soak in the chemicals. Afterward, we rinse them off again.
Does House Washing Include Window Cleaning?

No, but Services By Bright also offers window cleaning.
What About Driveway Cleaning?

Services By Bright offers pressure washing for driveways, too. Be sure to specify that you want us to clean your driveway when you request a quote!
Do You Offer Roof Cleaning?

Although roof cleaning can be done, Services By Bright does not offer it at this time. It tends to be quite a bit more expensive than washing the sides of a house, as more risk is involved.
Is There Anything Else I Should Consider Before Booking House Washing?

If your gutters have not been cleaned recently, we recommend doing this before any house washing. This is because debris left in gutters can splatter onto your house during house washing.
If you want to hand gutter cleaning off to a pro, request a quote!
